Critters

Thanks for looking at my work and such a nice welcome into "blogger world".
Today, I came across some cards that I have made and really enjoyed working with these carts. When working with the layers some carts are easier than others. I made this one for our great new nephew, Everett. He was born at the end of July and he is so cute. What a sweet baby!

I used Create a Critter for the giraffe and stickled his little "horn" (I don't know what the actual name of those things are) in brown. The base of the card was Stampin' Up and the top layer was from a DCWV Sweet stack. I matted that layer in a deep chocolate Bazzill paper.

This one is the cute little bear from Create a Critter. All the papers were from DCWV Citrus stack...My Favorite. The papers are beautiful in this stack. My favorite color is any shade of pink, and a close second is aqua; which this stack has quite a bit. I used some orange stickles and blinged it up with some turquoise gems. I inked up edges with brown too. The stamp is from mypinkstamper.com.

This is an older card that I made for my daughter when she was out of town last summer for a ballet intensive. One of the reasons I got the Paisley cart was because I loved the owls on it. All the cuts are so girly and fun. I used DCWV Flower Shower and embossed with swiss dots. The stamp was one that I got at Michael's. I stickled the eyes and popped her up to give more dimension. The gems were clear and I colored them purple with a copic marker. I inked the circle behind the owl in green. Hee hee...I just noticed I missed the flower on the owls little wing. Like anything, the more we work with stuff the easier they get...hopefully:)
