Exploring Cricut - "Love You Layout"

Hi Everyone! Today it is my turn to share over at Exploring Cricut and I have a layout for you today. I thought it would be fun to use my pens again in my Cricut. I had the pens use the shadow feature to outline the words.

I popped two of the flowers up with pop dots and added buttons with twine. The mat also has a button with twine adhered with glue dots. I doubled up the ribbon with a solid polka dot and then a fuzzy in the same color over the top.Gems were added to the journaling card at the top.

Exploring Cricut - What's Cookin' Challenge

Hello! Time again for another fun challenge at Exploring Cricut! The challenge is to create a project with anything from the kitchen using your Cricut. It can be a card, layout or a project of your choice with the Cricut. This was great timing for me to pull out my cartridge From My Kitchen. We are leaving this weekend to visit my daughter at college and bringing her some yummy, favorite treats that just wouldn't travel well by mail.

I created a shape card using the oven. Using my Gypsy I welded 2 of the shadow images together to create my cardbase from white cardstock. I then cut the rest of the layers adhering to the base of the card.

I wanted the card to be interactive so I scored an 1/8" across the bottom of the black oven door.  I used Silver Stickles on the front of the star. Glossy Accent was added to the white knobs.

I stamped a sweet message on the inside of the oven. 

The inside of the card is left blank so that we can write a personal note inside.

Exploring Cricut Smile It's School Time

Hello! Happy to see you here. It is my turn at Exploring Cricut and I am sharing another school layout. At our middle school the kids go a week before school to take a yearbook picture, get locker assignment and school supplies if you ordered them. 

This paper is from Simple Stories and is double sided. I really like being able to use that kind of paper. It takes all the guesswork out:) I had never cut the school from Locker Talk and think it is so fun. It was a little tricky as I wanted the windows to be white. To get this look I used the blackout feature for the white. I cut the base in green (cutting away the building, tree trunk and flagpole) and then used the layer feature to get the buildings, flagpole and tree in the colors I wanted. I added white gel pen to the flag.

I also added green ink to the tree and edges of green grass. A black micro pen was used on the front stair and front doors. The camera was popped up and micro pen was added to it. The camera flash was popped up and inked with Wild Honey Distress Ink from Ranger.
