Exploring Cricut - A Trick or A Treat for You!

Hi! Today is my turn to share at Exploring Cricut. I decided to stay with our theme for the challenge this week. I created some treat bags to give to my daughter and her roommate for Halloween. I was able to fit 3 large chocolate goodies inside.

I used Scor Tape to adhere sides together. I also hide the score marks on the bags with my Gypsy. The folds are very easy to see when the bag is laid out so the score marks are not necessary for me.  Also, depending on the paper the score marks can tear the paper and I don't think this looks very good.

I jazzed up the spider with Stickles and a white gel pen.

Recipe:
Paper - DCWV, scraps
Treat bag - Plantin Schoolbook 5.72"
Spider - Mini Monsters 1.24"
Sentiments - Bugbytes
Silver and Fruit Punch Stickles, White gel pen

Don't forget to take time to enter our challenge this week! We'd love to see what you have been up to.

Thanks for stopping by!

Exploring Cricut-Happy Halloween Challenge

Happy Monday! It's time for another challenge at Exploring Cricut. Create a card, layout or project for Halloween with your favorite Cricut cuts and include at least 2 Cricut cuts.

I am still working on layouts and created this 12x12 Halloween layout from one of my daughter's many dance performances. She was Puss N' Boots girlfriend in this piece for a Halloween show. I think the images from Trick or Treat are so cute. Don't you? This little kitty was so easy to put together.

Exploring Cricut - Homecoming

Hello! So glad you stopped by as it is my turn to at Exploring Cricut today. I am still trying to get caught up on scrapbooking and deciding to work on my daughter's high school book. Fall is upon us and with that comes lots of fun events like festivals, and of course, homecoming dances.

I am sharing a 2 page layout for her homecoming dance junior year. One of the fun things, I think, about scrapbooking is taking pieces from the actual event and incorporating it onto your page. The jewels in the upper left corner are actually from her corsage.

The pattern Bo Bunny paper is doublesided and this helped really coordinate everything together. Sometimes there are so many pictures taken and it is difficult to leave any out. One idea that really works for me is looking at the pictures I really want to showcase. I then put the rest into 4x6 clear sleeves that fit right into the album. Some brands are Die Cuts With A View or We R Memory Keepers. They also come in different sizes and I usually pick mine up at Archiver's.

The slits in the roses were popped up and I added Fruit Punch Stickles to them with a gem for added glimmer. I wasn't too sure about using the shimmery grey for the roses but really like how it compliments the pictures of  my daughter's dress.

Recipe:
2 page 12 x 12 layout
Papers - Bo Bunny, Bazzill, Core'dinations
Swirl - Sweethearts
Font, Numbers - Lyrical Letters
Gems, Fruit Punch Stickles

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget you have until Saturday to enter for some blog candy  here and enter our challenge of a birthday celebration for even more chances to win a Cricut Cartridge!

Happy Birthday Exploring Cricut Blog Hop

Hello! It is Exploring Cricut's 3rd birthday and we are celebrating. If you hopped from Emily then you are in the right spot. If not, hop back to Exploring Cricut so you don't miss a thing:) You can join in the fun by creating a card, layout or paper craft celebrating a birthday event. You can use any colors, but you must use your Cricut and include at least 1 button, brad or jewelOur Design Team has some awesome projects for inspiration  You have until Saturday to enter our challenge:)

I decided to create a 2 page spread for my daughter's upcoming 14th birthday. She is not a huge pink fan so I kept it to a minimum. I used Diamond Stickles on the "girl' part of the title.

The butterflies were glued with Glossy Accents just down the middle. Prior to adhering I folded the butterfly in half so the wings would pop up. I then added Fruit Punch Stickles to the antennas and middle.

I chose to use these red buttons for my cupcakes. The cupcakes were cut from the pattern paper. To have the button lay flat I took some nail clippers and snipped the plastic loop off the back and adhered with Gossy Accents.

There is blog candy to win too! To win: Let me know you are a follower and how to get a hold of you in the comments below. I will draw a winner Saturday. Good luck!!
