Water You Up To

Happy Friday! We have finally been getting some rain showers in the evenings. The weather has started to cool a bit and it is starting to feel a little like fall. The card I have to share was a freebie at Bugaboo Stamps awhile back and I think she is a darling image to work with. Hope you enjoy too:)

Exploring Cricut - Witch Purse

Good Morning! This week has flown by and before you know it we will be getting ready for Halloween festivities. It is my turn at Exploring Cricut and I have a fun treat bag to share.

I used my Gypsy to create this bag and I don't know what I would do without her. This bag originally had a silhouette of a girl and I really wanted to have a Halloween image instead. So I used the hide feature to add the witch. The measurement will work for a 12 x 12 sheet of paper.

Here is the front of the bag once it was done. There is also a cut for this bag to cover up the image. I'm sorry I don't know why I didn't take a picture of this. When choosing your purse to cut, just hit the  shift key for the purse and this image will cut out.

I also used my hide key to eliminate the score  lines. I then used a ruler to score the bag to put together. I would suggest when putting your bag together to use a strong tape (Redline Adhesive or Scor Tape) to keep your bag together.

Recipe:

Purse - Forever Young 4.76"
Witch -  Happy Hauntings 3.76"
Tag - Happy Hauntings 1.71"
Papers - DCWV Halloween Stack
Sentiment - found at Walmart with gems included
Twine, black ink

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

In Everything Give Thanks!

Hi! I was cleaning my craft room and came across this image that I had made years ago and never created a finished project with it. I think this rose is so pretty. I believe that it was from a Stampin' Up stamp. I had gone to a class and played with this beautiful image. It was then colored with pastels and chalk. We then added a glaze over it to give it the shimmer. I remember adding multiple layers. This product is different than Glossy Accents because it does not make the image raised, just gives it a nice glass look.

Have you cleaned your room lately? You might find a surprise like I did:)

SKdigis Challenge #3

If you are looking for my Exploring Cricut project go here.

Hi Everyone!  I loved seeing all of your projects for the last SKdigis challenge. We have another fun one for you using Halloween as your theme. Sonia has quite a few for this holiday and I'm sure you all are going to have a great time creating with these cute images.

I chose 3 monsters to work with for this card (Monster #1, Monster #2 and Monster #3). The background with the Halloween words are also one of Sonia's creations from Halloween Backgrounds (set of 3).  This card will fit in a business size envelope.

I colored the images through the computer. I hadn't done this before and it was fun to give it a try. I  then added googly eyes and Stickles to their teeth. I also pop dotted them to give them some dimension.

Since Halloween is right around the corner, these little cuties would be great on your projects. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create for this challenge:) Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Exploring Cricut Challenge - "Trains, Planes and Automobiles"

Good Morning! So glad you came by because it is time for another challenge at Exploring Cricut. I think this is a really fun one and hope you join in. Create a card, layout, or paper craft with a cricut cutout of some means of transportation.

I decided to create a thank you card using this cute little beetle bug from Paper Dolls for Everyday. I used vellum to cover the windows. The sentiment is attached with wire to look like an antenna at the back of the card.

SKdigis Challenge #2

Good Morning Everyone! It is time once again for another challenge at Skdigis. Create a card using black, white and one other color of your choice. Digis must be black, white and your third color choice. This will also apply to any embellishments.

I decided to create an anniversary card for my hubby using the lovey dovey piggies. Our anniversary (23 years) was September 9th and I just adore the expressions on these two.

I added Flower Soft to the ears and used Glossy Accents on the hooves, and whites of eyes. The belly buttons and black of eyes were embellished with black Stickles. I added Fruit Punch to the hearts.

Recipe:
Pigs and hearts - SKdigis
Papers - Bazzill, DCWV, (sorry don't remember the brand for the sugar paper)
Stamp - My Creative Time
Glossy Accents, ribbon, brad, Black and Fruit Punch Stickles, Swiss Dots embossing folder, Flower Soft Raspberry Fizz

Looking forward to seeing all of your projects and thanks for stopping by!

Exploring Cricut - An Honorable Award Layout

Good Morning! Hope your day is off to a great start and thank you for coming to visit. It is my day to share a project at Exploring Cricut. I have been really trying to get caught up on my scrapbooking and I have to say it is coming along nicely.

This particular layout was last fall when my father-in-law was given an award for his years of service on a board in his home town. He was so excited that we were there at the nursing home with him to share his moment.

12x12 page
Papers - DCWV

Blue leaf - Gypsy Font 2.18"
Red leaf - Gypsy Wanderings 2.54"
Small leaves - Doodlecharms 1"
Postage mat - Create A Critter 1.50"
Rectangle - George and Basic Shapes 1.50"

Thanks for stopping by and remember the challenge at Exploring Cricut ends Saturday. Hope you decide to join in the fun:)

Exploring Cricut Challenge - Cricut Choice Using A Person

Good Morning! It's time for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. The project this week is to make anything you want with the Cricut using a person. This can be a man, woman, boy or girl. I decided to create a Halloween card with a little girl from Twinkle Toes.

This was a fun idea to work with because she is so cute, but looks quite mischievous.  I would prefer the lollipop over her trick using the frog:) I decided to use the witch clothing from Paper Doll Dress Up, which meant that I had to adjust the doll's arms. To do this I cut them off and reglued them directly to the dress. To make her a bit taller and to see her legs I attached the boots a little bit lower on her legs.

I popped up the lollipop circle and used Stickles on the bow and circle.

I took the sentiment and only used the "trick or treat" by just cutting the words out that I wanted to use. I decided to draw the face onto the frog instead of using the cuts originally marked. I hid them with my Gypsy.

Recipe:
A2 cardbase
Girl - Twinkle Toes 4.09"
Face - Peachy Keen Princess Faces
Clothing, Shoes - Paper Doll Dress Up 3.07"
Hat - Paper Doll Dress Up 2.87"
Frog - Paper Doll Dress Up 2.55"
Candy - Mini Monsters 1.92"
Sentiment - Magic Spells from Bug Bites
Ribbon, White gel pen, chalk, Orange, Purple and Diamond Stickles, Brown marker

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see many of you entering into this fun challenge. Remember you have until Saturday to enter. For more inspiration go check out my DT sisters and brother!.
