Exploring Cricut - Family Time

Hello! Glad you stopped by as it is my turn to share at Exploring Cricut. I am trying to get caught up with layouts from last year and came across these pics from "pancake day" at our house. During the school year my husband makes pancakes bright and early on Wednesday mornings. It has been a great tradition and am sad that my oldest will be off to college and won't be with us for the tradition. I'm really glad I captured it on film while she was still home.

The blue paper with the measuring numbers was perfect for this layout and I loved that it was double sided. It makes it so easy to match!! A Child's Year doesn't have a shadow feature for the lettering so I made the blue slightly larger and offset the orange on top. I free handed the blue wave on the bottom and used a ruler at the top to make a scallop.

I was thrilled to find this cutie in 3 Birds On Parade. He is actually a grilling chef, but that is what is sound nice about the cartridges; being able to use images for different settings. I originally just wanted to use the apron in From My Kitchen but didn't think it looked to manly;) I did add some silver Stickles to the trim of the chef hat though.

Recipe:
2 12 x 12 pages
Papers - My Mind's Eye, Bazzill, scraps
Oval - George and Basic Shapes
"Pancake Day" - A Child's Year
Exclamation Point - Disney - Mickey and Friends
Whisk - From My Kitchen
Mixing Bowl - From My Kitchen
Bird Chef - 3 Birds On Parade

Thanks for stopping by!!

Annette

Awesome layout Annette! Love three birds on parade! I love the idea of using different cartridges. I always forget how many images and phrases we have available to use.
