Exploring Cricut - "Love You Layout"

Hi Everyone! Today it is my turn to share over at Exploring Cricut and I have a layout for you today. I thought it would be fun to use my pens again in my Cricut. I had the pens use the shadow feature to outline the words.

I popped two of the flowers up with pop dots and added buttons with twine. The mat also has a button with twine adhered with glue dots. I doubled up the ribbon with a solid polka dot and then a fuzzy in the same color over the top.Gems were added to the journaling card at the top.

Exploring Cricut - Christmas In July Hop!!

I decided to get busy with a Christmas layout. We always have fun trimming the tree and last year was no different. After doing so many years of holiday layouts sometimes it is hard to think of new titles for wonderful memories. When I was looking at the pictures of this event I saw a lot of bling on the ornaments as well as the tree. I thought it would be fun to give the title some extra sparkle. Hope you enjoy!!

I added stickles to the tree stamp.

I cut the "bling" out and then adhered to the creme paper. I then stickled the word with red adding glittery floss for some more texture. All that is left to do is add a journaling block on the red circle.

Exploring Cricut - Witch Purse

Good Morning! This week has flown by and before you know it we will be getting ready for Halloween festivities. It is my turn at Exploring Cricut and I have a fun treat bag to share.

I used my Gypsy to create this bag and I don't know what I would do without her. This bag originally had a silhouette of a girl and I really wanted to have a Halloween image instead. So I used the hide feature to add the witch. The measurement will work for a 12 x 12 sheet of paper. 

Here is the front of the bag once it was done. There is also a cut for this bag to cover up the image. I'm sorry I don't know why I didn't take a picture of this. When choosing your purse to cut, just hit the  shift key for the purse and this image will cut out.

 I also used my hide key to eliminate the score  lines. I then used a ruler to score the bag to put together. I would suggest when putting your bag together to use a strong tape (Redline Adhesive or Scor Tape) to keep your bag together.

Burst of Color!

I love the color pink! To me it is like black or brown because it can go with so many different colors. I created this card and played around with dimensions for the flower. It was a lot of fun to make because, again, I kept adding things. I don't always do that as I am more of a CAS gal, but I do like the look. Hope you do too:)

Good Morning! Hope everyone is having a great day! Today I am sharing a birthday card that was so fun to make. I really like pink and orange together. It makes me think of warm weather.  We have had unseasonably warm weather so far for this area. Hopefully, we will get some moisture so the plants don't suffer.

Anyway, on to my card. I did want to mention that the gems I used were originally clear and I colored them with a copic marker to better match my card. I have to say that I use the copics more for coloring other items than paper. I really need to take a class so that I can use them for blending, etc.  I have new Stickles that I used and also Elegant Edges cartridge. This cartridge has so many pretty cuts.

Thank You Note Cards

Hi All! I made a few cards and wanted to share with you one that I found in the magazine Paper Crafts. I recreated it using various cartridges and just loved the look of it. I used my template in gypsy to make sure that it would fit the front of a 4 1/2" x 5" card.

I also decided to use the cut outs on other cards. I love when I can use everything up:) I was in a hurry, but I think I should have either hid the center flower marks or cut another flower on top to give it a cleaner look.

Thank you all for visiting this weekend and welcome to my new followers. It was really fun to do a hop and I hope to do another one soon. Everyone is so creative and it is so much fun to share together:)

This month, as I'm sure everyone knows, is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is close to home for me as my Mom had a total mastectomy back in 1985. My Mom used to work for an OB/GYN office and they had gotten a new mammogram machine. All the women in the office were having mammograms so that the employees could understand how to work the new machines. Our family was very fortunate that this event happened as she had no symptoms. My Mom had a bilateral mastectomy soon after. She just turned 81 at the end of September and is cancer free. So, get checked regularly and do self examinations too!

TBBM 3D Challenge

This is a cart that I really haven't used much and what a great challenge for me hosted by Bitten By the Bug 2. I needed to make a box for a notecard set that I made. It took less than 10 minutes to cut and score. 8 notecards with envelopes fit inside.
