Exploring Cricut and More - Challenge Monday!

Hello! The summer is flying by around here and the weather has been gorgeous; so not much time in the craft room lately. But, it is challenge Monday at Exploring Cricut and More and this challenge is always a good one. Create any card, layout or project of your choice using 2 cuts with any machine.

I decided to create a card using this wonderful stamp from Joy's Life. I have been meaning to create something with this sentiment and when I saw the files from Lettering Delights I knew this would be perfect.

I think I need a new blade as my table has some fuzzies, but other than that I'm pleased with how it turned out. I did snip the brad arms and attach with a glue dot so that it wouldn't show on the back of the card.

Exploring Cricut - Jar of Hearts

Good Morning! Hope your day is off to a great start. Today, I am sharing a project at Exploring Cricut.  I used quite a few cartridges to complete this card and, of course, my Gypsy.

Mason jars are so popular right  now and I was inspired by looking on Pinterest to create this one. I found the jar on the cartridge From My Kitchen and then welded the hearts to the jar. I used the x and y axis to make sure the hearts were even in their rows. The floral bg paper was also tweeked from Elegant Edges. I hid the heart that was in the bottom right corner to get the shape I wanted.

Recipe:
A2 card base
Papers - My Mind's Eye
Jar - From My Kitchen 3.47"
Heart - George and Basic Shapes .37"
Bread Tag- Walk in My Garden 1.20"
Green Floral Mat - Elegant Edges
Sentiment - Hero Arts
Yellow Stickles, Twine

Don't forget we still have a challenge you can enter. We would love to see your project. Thank you for stopping by!!

Exploring Cricut- Disney Challenge

Hello! We have another challenge at Exploring Cricut this week. The challenge is to create a card, layout or craft using any of the Disney Cricut cartridges. I chose to make a card using Goofy.

There are 3 different images of Goofy and I think they are all equally cute. I will say that using my Gypsy is great, however, I still look at my books so that I can get the placement correct. On certain cartridges it is more difficult for me to see how the layers are supposed to go. For him I did cut the shadow and then layered up.

I also think with the small pieces it is nice to use the small Xyron so that you don't have glue all over you:) When creating his teeth I decided not to use the cut outs as they were really small. I instead used Liquid Pearls. I also used this on his gloves. For the white of the eyes I added Glossy Accents.

The swirl is also on this same page as a border. To finish it off, I added a green ribbon.

Recipe:
A2 card base
Papers - Scraps
Goofy - Mickey and Friends 3.83"
Swirl - Mickey and Friends 4"
Glossy Accents, Liquid Pearls White Opal, ribbon

Water You Up To

Happy Friday! We have finally been getting some rain showers in the evenings. The weather has started to cool a bit and it is starting to feel a little like fall. The card I have to share was a freebie at Bugaboo Stamps awhile back and I think she is a darling image to work with. Hope you enjoy too:)

Gardening Nut

Hi! So happy today because it is raining a really nice steady rain:) We haven't had decent rain in I don't remember when! I have a quick card to share from Bugaboo Stamps. I have someone very close to me who loves to be out in the yard. My husband calls her "the plant whisperer". I saw this little nut image and immediately thought of my buddy. I'm also entering into a couple challenges today.

Once I colored the nut, I used the blender to add some texture to it.

Hangin' With My Gnomies

Hi Everyone! I am stuck on this stamp set from Peachy Keen. They are just too cute! Today I used the sweet little gnome girls!  I got a new paper stack that has doublesided papers that are just so pretty:) I kept this very simple and just added the stamp and stickles to the paper.

The girls were individually cut out and adhered to the card.
