Heart Cut Out

I have been playing around with my gypsy trying to make different cut outs and I came across a post from a blogger that I regularly follow, Creations With Christina. She has great tutorials and projects. She used a Silhouette image to make a card that I think is so pretty. I don't have this machine, but thought it would be fun to try and replicate on a much smaller scale. I opened my gypsy and found a heart that I liked. (I used Create a Critter width 4.92) I used the heart as a guide to be able to position my circles and hearts. I really like Christina's card design and it was fun for me to try something new. I'm not one to create normally like that with my work. I am always amazed at the bloggers I follow who take shapes and create something else with DS or gypsy. That is a gift! I'm not sure I have the patience:).

Bring on the Cooler Weather!!

I am starting to get really excited for fall. The weather has finally broken here today and it is gorgeous and sunny at about 69 degrees. It is so pleasant! Makes me think of football, yummy soups, pumpkins, hayrides. So, with that in mind, I decided to play today with Celebrate the Occassion (Challenge #28). I haven't played much with this cart and am excited to give it a go. I have some halloween pages to scrapbook and am planning on using this cart as well as Mini Monsters. I really need to get busy with my pages:)

I think she is really fun and spooky looking at the same time. It was tricky because she was pretty tiny. Overall she went together pretty easy. I would say the eyes were a little difficult. I had laid her out on my gypsy and almost missed a layer. I love my gypsy but sometimes when I am working with unfamiliar carts I still pull my books out to make sure I don't foget anything.  I wanted the stamp to be subtle so I didn't press really hard.

Mini Monsters

Happy Thursday! Almost to the weekend. I thought I would look at Mini Monsters today. I really haven't used this cart much and need to. The images are really easy to put together and they are so fun. This is the second card I have done and I don't think I like the cards. They seem a little flimsy even when I use a heavyweight paper. I used the shadow feature and a top layer thinking that would help out. I'm sure someone has figured this out...lol. The card layer is actually white and I probably will stamp in there when I decide who this card should live with:) On the eyes I tried to make the stickles more misshapen to give him an even goofier look. Overall, I do think he is really cute.
